DBSs cost £38 plus £10.80 admin fee for APCS to process.

DBS online application is £38.00 plus £10.80 admin fee.


The cost of an online application is currently £38. We currently use a company called APCS who will process the application for £10.80. So the total cost of gaining a DBS through Classroom Teachers Ltd is £48.10. WE do not add any other admin fees for Classroom Teachers. 

Classroom Teachers complete the checking of the application and documents for free. do these for free. 


Once you have applied and received your DBS, you need to register it on the update service in order to use it with other organisations. If you do not register your certificate you will need to apply for a new one, in some circumstances, every year. The update service currently costs £13 per year.
